What Did Reagan Know About UFO’s

By admin On July 23rd, 2009

Reagan seemed more enthralled with UFO’s than all the U.S. Presidents, including Nixon. Reporter Billy Cox noted the many mentions of extraterrestrials in Reagan’s speeches and commented, “Ronald Reagan’s abiding fascination with extraterrestrials.” One of Reagan’s daughters also commented on her father’s obsession with UFO’s and life on other planets. The source of his fascination is often thought to be the “few” sightings he claimed to have had.

In September 1981, Reagan received a letter from an UFO research group director, Major Ret. Colman VonKeviczky. This man had made a second career of sending plaintiff pleas to not only the Presidents of the United States but to the U.N. Secretary Generals. When a new president was elected or a new Secretary General came on the scene they all heard from Major Ret. Colman VonKeviczky.

What VonKeviczky wanted was to get the figures of power and authority in governments to recognize that UFO’s, “…represented an intergalactic task force that will destroy earth unless world leaders band together to end their hostile actions against UFOs.” [http://www.presidentialufo.com/reagan_ufo_story.htm]

He was relentless. As a true believer of what he said he sent letter and packages with materials outlining the dangers and with demands than plans be drawn up for a defense against the alien threat. In the September 1981 letter, more than 17 documents were sent to Reagan outlining the immediate threat to the world from the aliens. This was his third letter to Reagan.

While his previous letters were not answered, his third one was. A distinguished Army officer who gathered many high ranking positions and metals including Director of Strategy, Plans and Policy; Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans; National Security Defense Group Director; and the Chief of the Policy Branch of SHAPE in Belgium, Major General Robert Schweitzer, answered it. Schweitzer was the Chief Military Advisor of the White House and National Security Council.

Part of Schweitzer’s answer to VonKeviczky read as so:

“The President is well aware of the threat you document so clearly and is doing all in his power to restore the national defense margin of safety as quickly and prudently as possible.” [Ibid]

Well, VonKeviczky didn’t need a flying saucer to fly like the wind to the Associated Press with “an admission” of the alien threat by the Reagan administration. The AP almost put it out on the wire but didn’t once they called and talked with Schweitzer. Had Schweitzer put the word “UFO” in between “the” and “threat” they would have run with the story. You’ve just got to ask what Schweitzer was really thinking? Was his song and dance he offered to the AP the real deal, was it a stupid slip, or did he really mean “the UFO threat” in the context of VonKeviczky’s persistent screed?

The Chief Military Advisor of the White House and National Security Council, Major General Robert Schweitzer, was let go on 10/26/81.

Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) program

Though Reagan was credited with this program and its “possible use” against space invaders, it was concept decades in the making and one has to ask the question, how come? Generals Douglas MacArthur and John A. McDavid both made comments for public consumption of the possible invasion of interplanetary beings. McDavid said an Air Force approved speech at Milliken University, Decatur, Illinois:

“Before long, people may be forced to realize and accept as a fact that this earth is only an infinitesimal grain of sand in an infinite universe,” declared McDavid. “The human is one of many forms of life with which God is concerned and others are superior to us. And if this is true, our meeting with other types of existence in other places in the universe quite likely will increase the potential element of conflict rather than reduce it.” [Ibid]

Why would a brigadier general have to have an Air Force approved speech unless he was treading on Top-Secret grounds and had to walk a very thin line in what he said? And, why if UFO’s don’t exist, they are just balloons and swamp gas, would he have to walk a very thin line and get Air Force approval?

A career State Department diplomat, Michael Michaud, wrote of Nixon’s worry about an alien invasion:

“Aliens from other solar systems are a potential threat to us, and we are a potential threat to them. Scientists and others have often postulated that extraterrestrial societies more advanced than ours would be less warlike. Regrettably, the stereotypes of the benevolent, super intelligent alien may be as unrealistic as the stereotype of the bug-eyed monster carrying off shapely human females. Even if a species had achieved true peace within its own ranks, it would still be worried about us, and would take the measures it felt were necessary to protect itself. This includes the possibility (not the inevitability) of military action . . . Our basic interest will be to protect ourselves from any possible threat to Earth’s security . . .” [Ibid]

There is some speculation that “Reagan’s” SDI had a two-fold purpose: To defend against the Soviets and extraterrestrials. Here are some of the sources:

In a June 1995 Bay Area Lecture Dr. Steven Greer announces information leaked to him from the North American Air Defense Command in Colorado shows that the Air Force tracks an average of 500 “fastwalkers” (term used for UFOs) entering the earth atmosphere every year.

New York Times Pulitzer prize winning author Howard Blum reports that NORAD deep-space radars track many UFOs.

Two Aerospace engineers working on the AeroJet’s DSP spy satellite claim UFOs are detected coming from deep space two or three times a month.

Author Whitley Strieber, in his book Breakthrough, stated that he had seen part of a document which revealed that the EG&G Corporation is involved in developing defense weapons against extraterrestrials.

Two further sources have told Greer that rogue units within Unacknowledged Special Access Programs, have directed black budget funds to develop SDI weapons to down UFOs. Further the sources have stated that they have been successful in shoot downs.

It must be said that there are other Ufologists who do not agree with these sources.

A Close Encounter of the Spielberg Kind

When Steven Spielberg’s movie, ET, came out, Spielberg did a private showing for Ronald and Nancy Reagan in the White House. There were guests invited for this private screening totally about 35 other persons. Apparently, the Reagan’s loved the movie indicated by Nancy’s tears and Ronald’s enthusiasm.

After the movie ended, the President leaned over to Spielberg and in a hushed tone said,

“You know, there aren’t six people in this room who know how true this really is.” [http://www.presidentialufo.com/reagan_spielberg.htm]

Spielberg told a TV producer of Reagan’s comment while being interviewed for a documentary.

UFOs: A scientific point of view – Part 2

By admin On July 23rd, 2009

Have you seen any flying saucers lately? Many people think they have. Even now, reports of mysterious sightings are circulating in the press and on Internet forums.

The modern UFO boom began in June 1947 when a businessman named Kenneth Arnold reported that while piloting a private plane he had seen nine saucer-shaped objects flying over Mount Rainier in Washington. Later that years there were rumours of a flying saucer crash in Roswell, New Mexico. According to a popular but false conspiracy theory, US Air Force obtained the corpse of a saucer pilot but covered up the discovery.

The strained relations between the east and west that became to be known as the cold war had just begun and the political atmosphere was conductive to conspiratorial rumours. The number of UFO observations exceeded 850 by the end of 1947.

Later, for instance the Mercury astronaut Gordon Cooper and former US president Jimmy Carter have disclosed seeing a UFO.

So what are UFOs? A UFO is an unidentified flying object. Most sightings have a natural explanation, such as a landing airplane, satellite or meteor. Some are hoaxes. But for the ardent UFO fans, some are genuine alien spaceships.

However, UFOs cannot originate from the other planets of our own solar system since scientists have failed to find any evidence of life or little green men on Mars or Venus. The nearest star outside our solar system, Proxima Centauri , is 4.2 light years from us. A space ship travelling at the speed of light would thus take 4.2 years to reach us. Many researchers think that space travel between solar systems is impossible.

Moreover, while a number of Earth-like rocky exoplanets or planets orbiting other stars have been discovered, they are either too large or too hot. It is very improbable that UFOs hail from “super Earths” such as Gliese 581 c , which is hotter than Venus.

It seems that there are some religious ingredients in UFO sightings. For some, belief in UFOs has superseded the belief in biblical Christianity. Little green men are seen as the new age saviours who will prevent earthlings from destroying themselves and their planet.

According to Gary Bates, the author of Alien Intrusion (2004), UFOs often have an evolutionary connection. If life evolved on earth by purely naturalistic means, it should also have evolved on other planets. The SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) project is an attempt to prove that we are not as special as we think.

Carl Sagan believed that the Earth was just a tiny pale blue dot in the vast cosmos. However, as Guillermo Gonzales and Jay W. Richards write in The Privileged Planet, our planet is anything but ordinary. Our planet looks as though it was designed for life. At best, we can only speculate about other worlds.

We might never get proof of the existence of little green men for a rather simple reason: there might not be any.

Extraterrestrial life: Fact or fiction – Part 12

By admin On July 23rd, 2009

Some have questioned the existence of alien life. Some have even stated that they have come into contact with extraterrestrials who have visited this earth, but there is no evidence of that. There is no evidence that they exist or that they do not exist. Is There Life Out There?

Life began here early in the planets evolution. With recent discoveries of bacteria on a meteor, it could be concluded that life begins easily in our universe. Or it might just be bacteria from earth that contaminated the meteor. There is no evidence of life on other planets, yet. However, there could be any day now.

Scientists have been studying Mars for potential life. So far the results are promising; however, it would only spark another debate. Did life start on Mars and seed earth or did it start on its own?

There is so much we have not explored. So much we do not yet understand. There is no way to tell how much we might learn from space. Throughout human history, we have explored our frontiers and reset the boundaries. Space is our new frontier and we should be exploring it.

While we search our solar system for life, there are those who believe that extraterrestrials have already visited out planet. While there are so many unexplained phenomenon on this planet, but there are rational explanations for most. While the radical ideas of space aliens visiting earth are more exciting, maybe it was just humans all along.

As for extraterrestrial abductions, would an advanced race really abduct people? A politically correct society would not abduct an intelligent being for study. But if you think about it, we consider ourselves an advanced society that is politically correct. We abduct animals and experiment on them everyday, even primates like a Chimpanzee which could be considered an intelligent being. Would that not be experimenting on intelligent life? It is probable that aliens would abduct humans, but are they.

SETI is the Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence. They listen to the sky for any type of radio broadcast in hopes of picking up an extraterrestrial signal. People whom do not support believe there are only two outcomes of the SETI project: There is nothing out there or if there is life out there, then it is too far away to ever make contact with. But if life evolves so easily, then extraterrestrials like us might be out there too.

The assumption has always been that aliens will be more technologically advanced than us. Why? For all we know, earth was the first planet to have intelligent beings. We may also be the last. We may be listening to the skies for nothing, but it would be better to experiment and fail than to not experiment at all.

Maybe there is life out there. Who knows? For all we know, earth could be the only planet where life sporadically began. Wondering if extraterrestrials exist or not are kind of like faith. There is no hard evidence, yet anyway. An alien battlecruser may decloak in earth’s orbit one day and wipe us out with a genetic virus fabricated after years of experimentation on humans. But what are the chances of that happening? To all those out there, keep searching the skies, not telling what we may find.

What to do if you see a UFO – Part 3

By admin On July 23rd, 2009

What to do if you see a UFO? Well for one, try not to panic! Secondly, half of people would go get a camera or something, if it is close enough for you to believe that it is a UFO well the other half would just go hide.

The best thing you can do is stay calm, look carefully at it to make sure if it is a UFO; you don’t want to make a fool of yourself do you? Now if you tried to contact the authorities they most likely would view this as a hoax so what you should do is note the time that it was sighted, rough altitude and location in the sky. This means that if other people have sighted it then you have a collection of data which should hopefully match other people’s sightings.

Now if you own a camera or some other recording device it is probably best if you try to get some visual evidence. REMEMBER! Take the lens cap off, make sure its in focus and ensure that your pointing it in the right direction. Nothing shouts hoax more than a blurred picture, the edge of the ‘UFO’ in the picture. The lens cap well… If it is a real UFO and you manage to take a picture only to realize to your dismay later that you left the cap on, you will kick yourself for the rest of your life.

What to not do is panic, spread mass hysteria or do anything extremely stupid that will involve you spending the rest of your life in an asylum. Under no circumstances do you look up, see said UFO, and then run for your shotgun / firearm. What will that do for one?

If in the event of you sighting a UFO landing, take note of its location and inform the authorities. As long as you are confident that it is a UFO the authorities will generally check it out just on the basis it may be an illegal transport entering into the country. However if it turns out that it was nothing in the end you may end up being prosecuted for wasting their time. This could involve a fine or worse, a prison sentence if you keep repeating it.

Look to the sky and wonder what is out there. It’s a large universe so there is most likely something out there, so you never know, you may sight a real UFO one day. Don’t panic and remember that lens cap!
