What constitutes UFO evidence? – Part 6

By admin On March 14th, 2010

The term flying saucer was first used in 1947, thereby coinciding with the Russians experimenting with captured Nazi rockets such as the V2. Many World War 2 German rocket scientists were captured and retained to work on the Russian space and missile race for at least a decade.

An unidentified flying object (UFO) is defined as any light or object observed in the sky of which the immediate identity is not apparent. There is no existing evidence that UFOs are alien spacecraft, or that they contain unbekanntes leben wosen (unknown life forms) (ULW).

On cursory investigation, the vast majority of sightings turn out to have been of natural or identifiable objects, notably bright stars and planets, meteors, aircraft and satellites, or hoaxes perpretrated by pranksters.

In 1968 the United States air force sponsored a scientific investigation of UFOs and came to the conclusion that there was no possible extraterrestrial cause for these phenomena. Regardless, thousands of people from various parts of the world claim to have seen something they still believe to be an alien spacecraft. Most of these observations are described as either cigar-shaped or saucer-shaped, resembling illustrations in old science magazines.

Why would aliens travel many light years simply to abduct chosen individuals, examine their bowel contents, return them almost intact, then leave, why?

Our planet Earth is located on the Orion Spur between the Perseus and Sagittarius arms of the Milky Way. Earth is remotely located and difficult to find, so why bother?

http://www.bufora.org.uk/ British UFO Research Organisation home page features news, articles and events listings, along with a research and investigation section, ideal for someone seeking an alien encounter.

This is an adjunct to the United States Public Broadcasting Service television programme NOVA taking a serious approach to alien abduction. The believers and sceptics are catered for – hopefully. Debates include serious scientists as well as abductees who offer their opinions on alien abductions. An interview with an artist abductee includes sketches of his alleged abductors. The late savant Carl Sagan states his position along with a special feature on physical evidence. Is there any?

Man is fascinated by space and space exploration so why not speculate on the great unknown!
