Exploring the possibility of extraterrestrial races ever assuming control of the earth – Part 2

By admin On March 10th, 2010

There’s always a chance when the crazy thought of if aliens will visit Earth is true or not. Recently, this topic is nothing new. It has been discussed on televisions, newspapers, Internet, books among other sources. If you go around and ask people: “Do you think there would come a chance that Earth might be invaded by a race of beings that are at least 1 billion years ahead of us”? Of course some would answer yes and many would answer no. People today have limited minds. But were many people (ordinary ones) from ancient times were so obsessed with such subjects? The answer I can give is technology.

When people are brought into the subject of aliens, they think of technology. Today we haven’t seen any alien signs reported from SETI or even NASA. The government also claims that no aliens haven’t visited the Earth. The thing is, the government is always wrong about stuff like this. But why? is it that they want Americans all dumb not knowing what exists beyond our control? maybe. But still why is the government taking it for their own benefit and not sharing important information that could change the world with the people (namely America)? Surely we may never know why the government is acting like this. My fascination with such subjects sparked in my mind when I turned 11 years old. I started to read about aliens and I was curious if they were real or not. But I didn’t get a definite answer. Of course at that time, I had no idea why. Then a couple of months later, I watched TV programs like Naked Science: Close Encounters where it accurately shares many great scientists’ views upon this. Many of them like Dr. Michio Kaku and world famous Physicist Stephen Hawking stated that if an alien race were to come, we have no control of it. In other words, if the extraterrestrial race is warlike and developed, we are doomed.

Besides science talking about Extraterrestrials, there’s the “New Age” movement. Honestly, New Age is the only movement dedicated into taking this subject very seriously. According to many New Age critics, the government military knows only 57 different races. If you want information about these races, I am always glad to give it to you: hhtp://www.burlingtonnews.net/ secretsufo.html. If you look around the website, you will find a long list of descriptions of species that claim that the government only knows about. Some people reading the list, will find it simply ridiculous. This is exactly what the government wants you to feel. You see if you

Why the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) may not be a good idea – Part 4

Often when we think of the search of Extra Terrestrial Intelligence we think and speak in awed, golden tones of how wondrous it would be to meet an alien civilization; to understand their culture(s), their language(s), architecture, art, music, their history, their philosophies and religions. Think: Jodie Foster’s character in Contact. Personally, I think that this is naive thinking taken to a new level! In fact, it is often assumed by some scientists and even some science fiction writers that a more advanced alien civilization couldn’t be destructive and would only be a good thing or a positive experience for human beings because if they weren’t peaceful and good, they would have destroyed themselves long ago. I’d like to believe that too but this is foolishness.

Most scientists believe that humans have been on the earth for millions years. So humans been around for quite some time and we are extremely destructive beings. Millions of years of existence hasn’t stopped us from surviving advancing. So, I wonder how some people come to that conclusion? Perhaps they’ve been buzzing around too long in their ivory towers. I think some of these folks need to go back and review history!

I want to call to everyone’s mind our own human history because this is really the only thing we can go by. To make assumptions that have no basis in known fact is wishful thinking and we have no basis for thinking that a hostile alien civilization couldn’t be organized and wise enough to travel the stars. No basis for thinking that they won’t be domineering or even dangerous to us. All you really need to do is take a good look at how kingdoms and empires were founded, whether in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa or Latin America. We could examine Antiquity, the Middle Ages or modern times; the order of the day was, and still is to many in this world: “Might Makes Right.” Those who are technologically advanced, those with more powerful weapons control or destroy those that are weaker. There is no reason to think that an alien civilization with an imperial, warrior-like culture couldn’t survive to become advanced enough to travel the stars. We have our own examples of this.

Some warlike cultures, of course do self destruct, but not all of them. Many times in history small villages or tribes can overcome inter-tribal conflicts, local primitivism and battles and unite and become great empires. I see no reason why this couldn’t occur with an alien civilization. They could

Christian views on extraterrestrial life – Part 5

By admin On February 21st, 2010

I’ve been reading a lot of scholarly debates that focus on other life in the universe affecting the Christian religion. Many people, including some on this site have said that if other life appears to us, it would make many people lose confidence in God because He never mentioned them in the Bible.

This entire debate hinges on the ‘fact’ that other life even exists. Arguments in favor of this usually involve probabilities and the universe’s size. For instance, it’s frequently said that the universe is too big to be only for humanity. I say, look at the Bible again. The Bible says we were made in the “image of God” and created to be stewards of His creations, mainly the Earth.

God created this world for people to live on and glorify Him with their existence. The love that many of us have for Him is returned a hundredfold. Now, do I still think a God who loves me THAT much is willing to create an entire universe of stars and other celestial wonders, just so we as humans can have extra light at night? I think that I have have no idea what God thinks, but I do believe He loves his creation, humanity, enough to make the entire universe just for us. He did send His Son to die for us, after all…

I doubt there’s anything He wouldn’t do for us. Therefore, I think that extraterrestrial life is not a given just because we cannot believe in a loving God who created everything for us.

Thank you for reading.

If she remained still, as still as the summer day itself, she swore that she could almost feel the earth spinning beneath her. With her eyes closed, she could not tell where her body ended and the cool grass began. Tiny blades tickled the back of her neck, and a gentle breeze picked up strands of her dark hair and brushed them across her face. She wanted to reach up, to push them back behind her ears, but it was as though she’d been glued to the ground or had actually become a part of it.

There was a sense that she was no longer alone, that someone-or something-was there with her. She tried to open her eyes but found that they were as heavy and immobile as her arms had become. She should have felt fear as she waited there, unable to move, but instead she felt only curiosity.

Something passed above her, darkness against the red she could see through her eyelids. There was no sound of feet on grass, no buzz of a bumblebee, no gentle noise of bird wings. The presence passed over her several times, always silent and never close enough to touch.

As she started to wonder if it was only her imagination at work, there was the barest trace of a touch against her eyelashes. A sound that she felt more than heard, a hum that brought a smile to her lips, accompanied the teasing motion.

All at once, the presence was gone. She was able to open her eyes at last, squinting against the bright summer sunlight. There was a streak of color at the corner of her vision, a glint of silver that disappeared before she was even sure she saw it. She sat up, looking around for a sign that it had been anything more than a daydream.

There, she caught sight of the silver again, a streak darting through the trees in the distance, small and fast and alien in the landscape. Her eyes flitted after it, trying to get a good look at what it was, but it always evaded her. As she began to take a step closer, knowing that a chase was futile but unable to resist, the silver streak shot straight into the sky, disappearing into the glare of the sun.

The breeze picked up, causing her hair to whip playfully around her face as she stood very still, waiting and wondering if her mysterious visitor would return.
